The Inaugural San Diego Triathlon will take place on March 2011.

The San Diego Triathlon includes a 1.5 km swim off the eastern edge of Vacation Isle in Mission Bay. The race continues with a 35 km bike ride from Mission Bay north to La Jolla, south through Clairemont back to Mission Bay, and concludes with a 10 km run around Sail Bay in Mission Bay. The start and finish line is located at Ski Beach on Vacation Isle in Mission Bay.

Athletes may compete in the following division: Professional/Elite, Age Group Amateur, Challenged Athletes, Open Relay, or Corporate Relay.

The race will be accompanied by a two-day Fitness & Health Expo located adjacent to the Finish Line at Ski Beach, Mission Bay.
